After a quick lunch on December 11, 2011, all the GLMBA Suzhou students were invited by MBA center to a one-hour session networking event with the Corporate Elites from different industries and various management fields.

The event began with the warm welcome from Ms. Michelle Xu and also introduction of the purpose for the event. This was actually a continue event or extension for the Dinner Event on December 10, 2011 for chatting with the corporate elites. As it is not frequent to have the chance for all the students from the year 2010 and the 2011 together while the faculties were all from the Corporate instead of from the academic background. And this time we have got the chance to meet in total 5 Elites from the Enterprises in one weekend.

During the party, each Elite had a brief introduction about their study field. The first one was Ms. Grace Luo, the Human Resources Director from AGFA Health Care, North Pacific Asia Area. Like her name, Grace looks very graceful. With more than 17 years’ practical experience in Human Resources Function, Grace introduced us how important it was for everyone to have the career development plan and her focus is to help us with the plan for the future in Career path. \

Following Grace, Mr. Teddy Chan, the general manager of Forever Top Group, started in a humorous way “I don’t know how to manage people, but I know about the machines” as he was IT background. He introduced his experience for over 20 years in the Information & Communication Technology Industry and he is now focusing on the consultancy in strategic planning, sales and marketing, marker research etc.

The third Elite, Ms. Linda Ho, who was also background from HR as Grace. Linda shared with us her experience in Human Resource Management and especially her coaching experience for corporate executives and also the CEO. Through her devotion and competences in managing people, Linda has successfully transferred from HR function to Operational position to be involved in all-round strategic planning for corporate operation as Chief Operation Officer.

And the last Elite was Mr. Leo He who was coming together with Mr. Teddy Chan to assist the teaching of Professional business Report Writing. Leo’s introduction was short but very impressive. His question of “what is our purpose to be here and for our life?” “To help people around us to grow is my purpose” said by LEO, and through this progress, it will help me grow. Happiness from helping others and being helped by others will make our world more beautiful and make our life more worthwhile and meaningful.

During the party we also had one session of thanksgiving and rewarding. Our thanks were given to Ms. Jenny Wang for the pre-class sharing on the financial knowledge before ADM course. Although to her it was not worth mentioning, however to us it was a big help to be equipped with some basic financial knowledge which makes our life in ADM class easier. We are looking forward to this kind of contributions from other students to make best of their knowledge to help us grow together.  Another reward was given to the Schoolmate Mr. Xu Shoujun. Xu has been working overtime until very late in the night for long time recently, however he has never missed one class despite of the exhaust and tiredness from the work. This has set us all the 2011 students a good example for persistency.

On top of the hot drinks provided by MBA center, the atmosphere was warm through all the session until the end of party with a closing by the Merry Christmas Greetings to all for this special holiday season.
